LEAFGUARD PROTECTS AGAINST

AUTUMN LEAF FALL

As part of a roofing project for a new games hall for Aberdeen grammar school, M.R. Site Services has supplied its LeafGuard product complementing its specialist roof welding services.

With some old established trees on two sides of the site, the architects were concerned about leaf fall in the autumn and the difficulty in maintaining clear gutters on the new building.

M.R. Site ServicesÕ specially fabricated solution, LeafGuard is designed to be fully compatible with standing seam roofs. It is an aluminium mesh attached horizontally across the membrane-lined gutter fixed to the two sides of the new building, in all some 65 linear metres of LeafGuard.

M.R. Site Services also provided specialist aluminium welding to the 800m2 Corus Kalzip roof on the new building on behalf of Fowler McKenzie Ltd, an approved Corus Kalzip installer. Commenting on the project, operations director Phil McKenzie said, ÒWe have a long working relationship with M.R. Site Services for specialist aluminium welding and we choose them because of the level of service and their willingness to come up with solutions. The LeafGuard specification typifies its approach and the company was able to adapt its product to any size of gutter detail. The project has been a great successÓ.
